This one-of-a-kind event brings together artists and the powerful voices of incarcerated women through a unique collaboration: each artwork is inspired by a poem written by a woman behind bars.
Come experience the transformative power of art and poetry while supporting our mission to empower incarcerated women through creative expression. All proceeds from the auction will fund Poetic Justice’s writing workshops held in women’s prisons, jails, and rehabilitation centers.

TITLE SPONSOR $5,000
$5,000 will allow 6 women to go through our Re-Entry Journal program as they return to the community. We contract former participants to keep a journal as they manage the highs and lows of entering society again after being incarcerated. They craft a short biography and draft a re-entry plan. Then, for the next 12 weeks, they write 10-15 minutes each day of their journey. Participants are compensated as contractors at $50 a week. These journals are used for educational purposes as well as advocacy.

$3,000 provides the printing costs for 12 women at the in-person classes. At the end of each in-person session, we compile the class writing into a group anthology for each participant to take with them after the session has ended.

$2000 will cover art supplies for 4 women in-person class. Each class has the opportunity to create a capstone project at the end of their time with Poetic Justice. These projects are beautiful representations of each individual. These projects could include things like writing a children’s book, creating personal poetry books, 3D mixed media, canvas paintings, and much more.
