I am a recent graduate from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in Psychology. I first started with Poetic Justice in 2022 as a facilitator for the in-person classes at the California Institution for Women and I was immediately impacted by our participants and the PJ team! Working with justice-involved women and providing a safe space to uplift their powerful voices is something that I have grown to be more and more passionate about. I am a firm believer in shifting the narrative surrounding incarcerated individuals by ensuring their voices are heard, which is what I hope to do as the California Assistant Program Director!
