Claudia Ramírez has served as Programming Coordinator and Bible studies teacher at La Esperanza Centro de Rehabilitación Contra Adicciones y Alcohol in Tijuana B.C México, since 2006. In 2009 Claudia began working on a more part time basis, until 2017, when she began facilitating writing workshops for Poetic Justice, as well as teaching art classes and serving as an addiction counselor.

Claudia believes that everyone deserves a second chance in life, and that each and every one of us has so much to offer others, to make their lives better; whether it be one’s own time, a word of encouragement, a smile, or just the gift of listening, we can make a real difference in someone's life. 

Claudia is inspired every day by the women she serves at La Esperanza- seeing them grow, blossom, and ultimately heal through her Poetic Justice classes, becoming better versions of themselves day by day. And she thinks to herself, the possibilities are just beautiful, so she carries on…
